Bulk Mulch

Mulch has been called the gardener’s friend—and for good reason! Mulching is one of the best things you can do for your garden. Mulch serves as a protective barrier around your plants and over your bare soil. This protective barrier can be made up of various decomposing organic materials, including bark or wood chips. As mulches decompose, they add nutrients and organic matter to the soil. Increased amounts of organic matter will improve soil drainage, increase moisture retention, reduce compaction, and attract earthworms. Mulched plots are also less prone to erosion.

Aside from their decorative value, mulches offer many benefits to your soil and plants. It keeps the soil cooler during the summer and warm through the cold winter months protecting the plants from freezing and thawing. Most of the mulch is manufactured by us on our own site.
